‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ Is So Much Smarter Than Its Soundtrack (Pitchfork)

I finally finished watching the first season of Handmaid’s Tale and can’t help but be stuck on the two things that I felt could have been much better about it: the dialogue (mostly Offred’s voiceovers) and the music supervision. The Passport Index

The cover of every passport in the world, plus thorough information on which countries accept which passports and the “score” for each country’s passport — how many countries it grants access to. I had to click through every single cover just to see all the different designs. Some of my favorites were Australia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Egypt (that negative space!), Gabon, Myanmar, Portugal, Sweden, and Vatican City (I mean, that one is just straight-up cool).

Raccoon-throwing: An introduction to the only true sport in sports (SB Nation)

From Jon Bois, the writer of 17776 (which, seriously, if you haven’t read yet … wtf are you doing). Discovered this one while clicking around Bois’ twitter mentions and am so glad I did. I have friends who I can totally imagine “inventing” this game and that made this reading this all the better.
